Horizon Coaches have an accumulation of credentials and certifications that are unequaled in this area. ASSESSMENTS
"IF YOU'RE NOT ASSESSING, YOUR GUESSING!"
A posture and movement assessment is critical before beginning any type of intense training program. Without it you not only risk damaging the athlete, but you may add strength and power to a dysfunctional movement pattern which sets up a scenario that can lead to a chronic or sport ending injury.
FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENT SCREEN
 The Functional Movement Screen tests seven fundamental movement patterns that are key to identifying your functional movement quality. The process provides a reliable baseline for actionable and effective steps to improve your performance and recovery.

NOTE: Horizon Coaches have been trained in SFMA, however, certification for this assessment process requires a medical license. Horizon coaches and trainers do not have medical licenses.
STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING
Unless you are a "body builder" your strength and conditioning programs should be designed to improve or affect the quality of movement. Strength, power, speed, quickness, and agility all depend on and are a byproduct of the application of appropriate exercises done at the right time or phase of training and utilizing the correct program variables (set, reps, tempo, intensity, rest, etc.) Athletes who strength train by isolating individual muscles or muscle groups will be at a disadvantage to those who train and strengthen their movement patterns.

THE MATRIX
Horizon's exclusive online ATHLETE DEVELOPMENT SYSTEM utilized by athletes locally and internationally. The Matrix is a sophisticated yet easy to use program consisting of 9 levels of progression divided into three categories or phases of training. Accessible in our online training portals, this program can be used at home, at our facility, or in a gym of your choice. 
PERSONAL TRAINING
SOFTWARE
It's important once you have a well designed program that it has the ability to be easily accessed by the athlete as well as easily modifiable by the coaches. We use a combination of software programs to include ptEnhance which is one of the best platforms used by elite trainers and coaches worldwide. Additionally, as Certified FMS practitioners, we have access to FMS Pro which gives us the ability to provide mobility, pre-hab, and sport re-entry programs (re-hab) designed by Physical Therapists.

MENTAL MANAGEMENT
You can design a training and nutrition program that will provide an athlete the optimal environment to excel. However, if the athlete possess beliefs that are contrary to those necessary for success, then all efforts can be unknowingly sabotaged by a subconscious with a different agenda. We go beyond simple goal setting, visualization, and affirmation statements and utilize techniques like PSYCH-K to assess the athlete's subconscious beliefs and reprogram the ones that are destructive with those that will lead them to success and victory.
